@CleverTitleTK “Misspelled” covers a multitude of sins. Spelling wasn’t codified, so names could appear in various forms over the years. Old handwriting can be hard to read, which can cause mistranscription. People misheard names, I.e. census takers unfamiliar with orthography of languages.
