@allthroughalens Also, you could get a Graflex SLR with a Graflok back starting in about 1949. Graflex also offered a retrofit Graflok back; I have a Super D from 1947 that has one of these.

Hey, @allthroughalens , listening to your Snapshots ep 2. Lots of wrong info in there about Graflex SLRs. For example, there is no Grafmatic holder that works on both Graflex and Graflok backs. The common 1268 works on Graflok backs; the much less common 1168 on Graflex backs.
