@CleverTitleTK And some of us know the obstacles our immigrant ancestors faced in getting into the US based on where they came from, placed there by the US govt. My grandmother spent 3 years in Canada because we weren’t accepting Ukrainians. I have no trouble identifying with today’s immigrants

@karlgroves Dude, they have a tram in that terminal for just that reason. Unless you wanted to walk from one end to the other (I often do that, and I seem to be at DTW about every six weeks, including this past week on Tuesday and Wednesday)

@megansmolenyak @FamilySearch Is there information out there for how to read these? For my Grandmother’s village, I see records in Latin, which I’m familiar with from my Italian lines, but having a hard time understanding the format, which is the same for birth, marriage, and death records.
