@the_real_turbo @monaeltahawy It means that prosecutors presented the case in such a way that that was the only way the grand jury could go. Prosecutors can, famously, convince a Grand Jury to indict a ham sandwich. It also goes the other way.

@wiczipedia I remember hearing this as a slur in the 1960s and ‘70s growing up in Detroit. Then Solidarity started in 1980 and got a lot of publicity for their fight for freedom, and the slur seemed to disappear overnight.
