@Stig_Ofthedump I’ve been punching my own 126 lately using a modified film splicer as described by Ian Fleming in his article on Emulsive at https://emulsive.org/articles/guides/how-to-make-your-own-126-film-perforator . Makes the cameras still useful if you can find unperforated film.

That’s pretty much the holy grail of toy camera-dom. I have one of the Lomo recreations, but it has the same issues as my take on the Holga. Never gives me what the original Diana does.

@gregpak @PapaShittyCams That’s a ZINK camera. Thermal, but color and looks pretty good. Not the kind of look you get from the receipt printer cameras. ZINK was spun out from Polaroid, and there were some Polaroid-branded digital cameras the incorporated it, back before they were bought by Impossible.

I don’t regret being led into large format by my interest in Polaroid. I got my first 4x5 camera because I backed the first New55 Kickstarter. I bought an 8x10 camera because I found a cheap Polaroid 8x10 processor. My whole childhood was documented on Polaroid. A big part of the problem is the definition of what counts as cheating. A coup is cheating to a vast majority of the people. So we get hearings. But voter suppression is also cheating. Gerrymandering is also cheating. They all disrespect the will of the voters.

This is a prime insight. These witnesses aren’t heroes. They enabled a criminal enterprise for years, and now, they’re cornered and confessing. They all knew who he was. They all knew he lost. Geoff Dyer has a couple of interesting books as well. In The Ongoing Moment, he conceptualizes photography as an ongoing conversation among photographers, where photographs are often responses to previous photos by other photographers. Very thought provoking.

@toomanycameras I keep trying to capture a photo of what life is like on the Jersey Shore at the depths of winter when nobody is around, specifically in Wildwood, where the boardwalk is deserted and the only open business is the Fudge Kitchen, which is open year round. Preferably with snow.

If you ever shot Svema 125 Color from FPP and enjoyed it and were disappointed that it’s no longer available, here’s some news.
