@megansmolenyak @CleverTitleTK @Foodaism @RandySchoenberg My grandmother, who left Galicia in 1930, went to Manitoba for just that reason. The only reason I’m American is thanks to her uncle finding a friend to marry her in a sham marriage in 1933 to get her across the border.
